Jacqui Rêgo

LESLIE

Jacqui Rêgo is the creator of BABY HUBRIS. She is an actor/writer/spoken word poet in NYC by way of Miami, L.A., Toronto, Montreal, and Rio de Janeiro. Clearly a lover of duality, she has two passports and has studied at NYU Tisch School of the Art’s BFA program, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and Augosto Boal’s Pablo Picasso UNESCO Award-winning Theater of the Oppressed in Rio de Janeiro. You may have seen Jacqui performing in Nilsa Reyna's Legends of Texas (Billie Holiday Theatre),  The Bacchae (Gorilla Rep.), the film The Haircut (Slamdance), or Melvin Van Peeble’s theatrical production of Sweet Sweetback’s Badass Song: The hood opera  (BRIC, Brooklyn/Sons d'hiver; Paris, France); and she continues her effervescent rabble-rousing writing personal essays and plays like, BABY HUBRIS (world premiere FringeNYC).

Originally from the Bay Area, Tama is a passionate actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker living in New York City; who is extremely dedicated to his craft. You can look forward to some of his upcoming work on the new seasons of Iron Fist, The Tick, and Master of None.

He’d like to take this opportunity to thank his girlfriend Jillian, for always supporting him.

 

 

 

 

 

Bryn Packard

Since moving from Chicago to NYC in 2013 Bryn has appeared in Storage Locker for IATI Theater, Lisa and Her Things for Sans ComediaErik: A Play About A Puppet for Rising Sun Performance Company and a reading of i put the fear of méxico in 'em for Teatro Stage Fest at La MaMa. He will be appearing in the upcoming web-series #goinghomeless, and appeared in the short film Guidance which is currently making the festival circuit. He also does voiceover and has begun playing with virtual reality and 360 video.

 

 

Alejandra Parody

Director

 

Born and raised in Colombia, Alejandra moved to the US to attend New York University, where she graduated with honors in both Film and Television, and in Religious Studies.

Upon graduation, she won a Wasserman King Prize for her thesis film Rosa, which has gone on to screen at festivals around the world including the NBCUniversal Shortsfest in LA and the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase in the American Pavilion at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival where it received the Best Student Film award.

She currently lives and works in New York City, where she is developing a feature film, and is excited to explore the world of theater.  

 

 

 

Sadie Portman

Stage Manager

A Navy brat who spent most of her childhood in rural Northeastern Ohio, Sadie went to Adrian College where she studied Journalism and Political Science, while also performing in theater on the side. After three years of media relations and box office work for Minor League Baseball, she resumed life as a reporter for a small town Ohio newspaper, The Gazette. Two years ago, she decided to spread her wings and head to the big city where she met her current writing partner, Bobby Brumand. The two are now working on a screenplay together. Sadie is proud to be a member of this show and is looking forward to future endeavors.
